About Ruban Memorial Hospital
Ruban Memorial Hospital is a multi-specialty private hospital in Patliputra Colony, Patna. Its roots go back to Ratan Stone Clinic, which opened in Kankarbagh in November 1996 and focused on kidney stone treatment through lithotripsy and minimally invasive procedures. Building on that work, the foundation launched Dr. Ruban Memorial Hospital in May 2000 near south-east Gandhi Maidan, named in memory of Dr. Ruban Kumar Singh. In 2013 the hospital moved to its present, larger building on Boring Patliputra Road near Golambar. The hospital is best known for urology, nephrology and gastroenterology, and also covers internal medicine, cardiology with a cath lab, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, laparoscopic surgery, renal transplant, dialysis, emergency medicine and critical care. It has modular operation theatres, ICU and ICCU, its own blood bank and a physiotherapy unit. The location is central, about 4 km from Patna airport by road, and well connected to Boring Road and Kidwaipuri.
